Hang on tight! Our legislators are hard at work refining the laws, rules and regulations. Our view is that the medical market will be brought under the scrutiny of the LCB and that medical dispensaries are up for some major changes. We have mixed feelings about this. While medical shops have blazed the trail for the industry the last many years (and we are thankful for it), the lack of regulation and payment of normal business taxes are most likely going to be the downfall of most MMJ businesses in Washington. Medical patients need their medicine. Recreational users want their product. Chances are both will get their way…and the State of Washington will be the beneficiary of a ton of new revenue.
